itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Istanbul (-)
Today is the first day of your time traveling tour, on your first day you will arrive in to the city of Istanbul where you will then be transferred to your hotel for your first overnight so you can get well rested for your day of exploring tomorrow.

Day 2: Byzantine and Ottoman Relics Tour, Overnight in Istanbul
You will be picked up from your hotel at 08:30 to embark on a fascinating exploration of Istanbul's historical treasures. The day starts with a visit to St. Hagia Sophia, a magnificent example of Byzantine architecture adorned with mosaics, marble pillars, and vibrant coverings. Adjacent to St. Hagia Sophia is the Blue Mosque, renowned for its grandeur and distinctive six minarets. Built between 1609 and 1616, it boasts a stunning interior adorned with 21,043 blue Iznik tiles, earning it the name 'Blue Mosque.' Our journey continues to the Ancient Hippodrome, once the venue for chariot races, featuring notable monuments like The Obelisk of Theodosius, The Bronze Serpentine Column, and the Column of Constantine. The tour progresses to the iconic Topkapi Palace (closed on Tuesdays), a sprawling complex that served as the main residence of Ottoman sultans for centuries. Housing an exquisite collection of crystal, silver, Chinese porcelain, and historical artifacts, Topkapi Palace provides a captivating glimpse into Ottoman opulence. The day concludes with a short drive to the vibrant Grand Bazaar, Istanbul's colorful marketplace (Closed on Sundays and on Feast days), offering an array of goods and a lively atmosphere. Your day of exploration wraps up around 18:00, and you will be transferred to your hotel for the evening. (Breakfast and Lunch Included)

Day 3 – Bosphorus Cruise, Overnight in Istanbul:
After a good breakfast, a transfer will pick you up around 08:15 am from your hotel reception and take you to our first destination for the day – the Spice Market, also known as the Spice Bazaar. The air here is filled with enticing aromas of cinnamon, caraway, saffron, mint, thyme, and every other conceivable herb and spice you can name. Once at the Spice Market, you will have free time to explore and purchase fresh herbs and spices to take back home.

Our journey continues with the Bosphorus Tour By Boat. This traditional boat trip offers spectacular views along the coastline, separating the two continents of Europe and Asia. The narrow waterway is lined with old wooden villas, marble palaces, fortresses, and small fishing villages. During the excursion, you'll pass by remarkable buildings such as the magnificent Dolmabahce Palace, the parks and imperial pavilions of Yildiz Palace, Ciragan Palace with its marble facade, Rumeli Fortress built by Mehmet the Conqueror, Beylerbeyi Palace – the summer residence of the Ottoman sultans, and the iconic Bosphorus Bridge marking the unique transition from Asia to Europe. The boat tour concludes with a view of Camlica Hill, offering a magnificent panorama of Mystical Istanbul and the Bosphorus with its beautiful gardens. After the boat tour, you will be taken back to your hotel, and the evening is yours to enjoy. (Breakfast Included)

Day 4 – Flight to Cappadocia, Overnight in Cappadocia
Please check out from the hotel after breakfast and bring your suitcases with you.

Today, you will be transferred to Istanbul airport for your scheduled flight to Kayseri early in the morning. Upon your arrival in Kayseri, you will be taken to your hotel in Cappadocia. There will be some time for you to enjoy breakfast and freshen up before we begin our journey around Cappadocia. Our first visit of the day will be to Devrent Valley, also known as 'Imagination Valley.' While this valley may lack the cave churches and Byzantine frescoes found elsewhere in Cappadocia, it boasts unique and extraordinary landscape shapes resembling various animals. Let your imagination run wild as you spot these formations, bringing laughter and wonder. Our next stop is Pasabag (Monk’s Valley), where you'll marvel at mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys formed by harder rock material deposited above. The valley earned its name due to ascetic monks who lived hermit lifestyles here as early as the 5th century. We'll then head to the town of Avanos, set on the banks of Kizilirmak, translated as ‘The Red River.’ Exploring the old village of Avanos, you'll encounter a beautiful maze of old stone houses, some restored over time, and others converted to different purposes. In some abandoned houses, features of traditional Ottoman architecture can still be seen, along with ancient decorations, motifs, and murals. You'll also have the chance to participate in a hands-on pottery workshop. After lunch (included), we proceed to the Goreme Open Air Museum, showcasing incredible rock formations and fascinating rock-cut churches. Our last stop for the day is Uchisar, a village perched on a steep rock formation, offering dramatic panoramas of astonishing Cappadocia. You'll have one hour of free time during the tour to relax, enjoy cold refreshments, and soak up the panoramic views. The tour of Cappadocia for today concludes around 17:00, and then it's a journey back to your hotel for the evening to get some well-earned rest. (Breakfast and Lunch Included)

Day 5 – Cappadocia Tour and Flight to Izmir. Overnight in Kusadasi
During our tour today, we will first visit Red Valley and Rose Valley. Red Valley is one of the most beautiful places to go walking in Cappadocia. The two valleys are next to each other and easily combined. Once in Rose Valley, don’t miss the Hacli Church and the Ayvali Church, both adorned with astounding painted decorations in the interior. Afterward, we will visit the old Christian Village of Cavusin, followed by a tour of Pigeon Valley. The path through Pigeon Valley offers spectacular views of natural cliffs and man-made caves, passing through a few tunnels carved into the rockside. Finally, we will explore Ozkonak Underground City and Ortahisar Castle. In Kaymakli underground city, 8 levels are dating from the 6th – 9th centuries, with 5 open to the public. The tunnels, cellars, storerooms, and stables excavated from the soft volcanic rock are astonishing. Ortahisar Castle is situated at an 86 m height cave in the period of Eti and is the most pronounced structure of Nevsehir. During your day, you will have 1 hour free, so if you wish, you can take some refreshments and relax. Our adventure through Cappadocia will come to an end around 17:00, and you will be taken back to your hotel for the evening. Once the second part of discovering Cappadocia ends, you will be taken to Kayseri airport to catch your scheduled flight to Izmir. Upon arrival at Izmir airport, a transfer service will be waiting to take you to your hotel in Kusadasi. (Breakfast & lunch included)

Optional: Hot air Balloon tour

Day 6 – Ephesus Tour and Flight to Istanbul. Overnight in Istanbul
Today, after checking out from the hotel and having breakfast, we will embark on a full-day Ephesus sightseeing tour beginning at 09:00 am. We will pick you up from your hotel in Kusadasi for a short drive to Ephesus. You have the choice to do this tour in a group or as your private tour. Firstly, we will take you to see The House of the Virgin Mary, situated on the top of Bulbul Mountain, discovered in the 19th century. Catherina Emmerich (1775-1824), an invalid German nun who had never visited Ephesus, described the house and its location in great detail based on her vision. It is also believed that St. John brought Mary (the mother of Jesus) to Ephesus sometime between AD 37-48, where she spent her last years. After visiting The House Of Virgin Mary, we will continue the tour to the Ancient City of Ephesus, showcasing one of the most spectacular excavations globally. You will have the chance to see the Odeon, The Fountain of Trajan, the stream baths of Scholastika, the Temple of Hadrian, the Grand Theater, and, last but not least, the impressive library of Ephesus. The Ephesus library, adorned with columns and statues, is still in relatively excellent condition. Standing in the middle of the Library or taking a walk down the main street in Ephesus will make you feel like you have stepped back in time amongst the Romans. The Grand Theater, where Saint Paul preached, is believed to be the largest outdoor theater in the ancient world, with a capacity of 25,000 seats. The last and perhaps the most important site in Selcuk is the great Temple of Artemis (Diana), one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The Ephesus Artemis was a goddess of fertility, often pictured draped with eggs or multiple breasts as symbols of fertility. Our tour today will come to an end after visiting the Mosque of Isa Bey, built in the 19th century and also used as a caravanserai. It is undoubtedly a perfect architectural building that you must see. During today's tour, you will have one hour of free break time to rest, and of course, if you like, you can take some refreshments at the cafeteria on-site. After the tour, you will be transferred back to Izmir airport to catch your flight back to Istanbul. Upon your arrival in Istanbul, an awaiting transfer service will drive you to your hotel. (Breakfast and Lunch Included)

Day 7 – Transfer to the Airport for the Flight Back Home
After enjoying a delicious traditional breakfast, please check out from your hotel room by noon. A transfer service will pick you up from the hotel and drive you to Istanbul airport according to your flight time. (Breakfast Included).

If your looking for tour planned and organised just the way you want it which includes seing some of Turkey most touristic places then look no further as www.greeceturkeytours.com is the way forward. From the very first contact with Mehmet he was fast in responding to our emails and questions he was also very accommodating to mine and my partners needs and requests for what we was looking for. Mehmet introduced us to this 7 day turkey tour by flight package and just from seeing the drafted itinerary we knew this is the pacakge for us to do. We got back from our 7 day turkey tour by flight package just a few days ago and we wanted to express on here our thoughts for everyone to see. We really enjoyed our holiday and it was very much memorable but also made very special by our Tour guide Fezo, he was very accomodating / intelligent and we became good friends in them 7 days. For us been apart of a small tour group was ideal as we got to meet othe travellers from all parts of the world and over the 7 day we all became great friends who have kept in touch. Fezo also handed to us all his contact number for the duration of our holiday just in the case of if there was any emergency or in need of help which we all found to be a great peace of mind knowing that someone would be there anytime for us shall needed. Throughout the whole 7 day turkey tour by flight package we felt incredibly safe and the locals were so friendly - always offering tea! My husband and i booked a 7 day turkey tour by flight with Vedat from www.greeceturkeytours.com that would take us to visit and discover the wonders of Istanbul - Cappadocia and the Ancient City of Ephesus. Vedat was very helpful and always did his best to accomodate to our needs but most of all he was able to answer any questions we had or concerns easily, and what we really liked about Vedat was that even though we hadnt booked just yet at the time of contact he still replied very promptly and made us feel like we were vip's and top of his priority list. Me and my husband ( stephen ) both agree very strongly that the whole 7 day turkey tour by flight experience for us was out of this world and has to be one of the best packages we have ever booked on! Every aspect of the package such as transfers - hotels - food - tours and even the tour guide were incredible! Its safe that you are 100% in great hands with this agency and better yet they are great value fo money and provide excellent customer service.
